Muslims who wish to perform the spiritual prayer of Hajj must meet five conditions, the very first and foremost condition is Islam, that the rituals of Hajj can not be performed by non-Muslims, and the second is the mind, so there is no Hajj for a person who is not mentally fit, we can use the word madman for it. Hajj can be performed only when he is cured of his illness, and the third is puberty. The fourth Condition for Hajj is that this worship is obligatory for the owner until he is released, and the fifth condition is that Hajj is compulsory for all capable and competent Muslims.
Importance of Hajj in Quran and Hadiths
On the authority of the Prophet Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, many hadiths of the Prophet talk about the virtue of performing the rituals of Hajj and about the reward that a Muslim reaps from performing this pillar of Islam.
Among the most prominent of these hadiths: “Whosoever possesses the provisions (for Hajj) and the means of transport to take him to the House of Allah, yet he never performs the Hajj, then there is no blame on him if he dies as a Jew or as a Christian”. It is because if a Muslim is financially strong enough and he can afford and perform Hajj the House of Allah with essential means is possible, Whoever rejects the Hajj creates a symbol of negligence and leads to Kufr.
And once Hazrat Prophet Muhammad was asked which work is better? He said, “Belief in Allah and His Messenger. It was said: Then what? He said jihad for the sake of God. It was said: Then what? He said,” An accepted Hajj.
And Messenger of Allah may Allah peace be upon Him, said, “Whoever performs Hajj and does not commit any obscenity or commit any evil will go back (free of) sin as on the day his mother bore him.” The Prophet peace be upon Him said, “Umrah to Umrah is an expiation for whatever is between them, and an accepted Hajj has no reward but Paradise.” He said, “There is no day more than God will release a slave from the Fire from the day of Arafah.”
Hajj Moments
The rituals of Hajj start every year with the pilgrim who performs Ihram from the specified Hajj times in Dhu al-Hijjah and then heads to Makkah, where he or she circumnavigates, then heads for Minah, where he or she stays on Tarwiyah day and then goes to the Arafah, where he or she spends Arafah day.
The Hajj has three forms, the first of which is “Tamattu”, which is the Umrah and Hajj in one trip, and it means that the pilgrim first intends to perform the Umrah in the first ten days of the month of Dhu al-Hijjah, then he is deprived of it from the meeqaat, and he says: “Labbayk for Umrah.” Then the pilgrim goes to Makkah, and after reaching Makkah, the rituals of Umrah are performed by Muharram from the Tawaf and Sa’i, then he dissolves from Ihram by default, and everything is permissible for him, even women, and remains so until the eighth day of Dhu al-Hijjah, so he is forbidden for Hajj and performs his rituals from standing at Arafah and Tawaf al-Ifaadah, sa’y and the like, then he has performed The rituals of Umrah are complete, then follow them with the rituals of Hajj complete as well.
The pilgrimage of tamattu ‘is the best type of Hajj according to the Hanbalis and Shiites, and for the validity of tamattu’ it is required to combine the Umrah and Hajj in one travel, in the months of the Hajj, and one year.
And the second image is the “Quran”, which is the intention of Hajj and Umrah and staying in the same Ihram, and it means that the pilgrim intends to perform Hajj and Umrah together on Ihram, and says: “To perform Hajj and Umrah,” then he goes to Makkah and circumambulates the arrival circumambulation ( Tawaf ), and remains forbidden until the time for the rituals of Hajj comes. So he performs it completely from standing at Arafah, stoning Jamarat al-Aqaba, and the rest of the rituals and the pilgrim does not have to circumambulate and strive again for the Hajj, but it is sufficient for him to perform the Hajj tawaaf and his pursuit.
As for the third image, it is “al-Ifrad”, which is the intention for Hajj only, without Umrah, and it means that the pilgrim intends to perform Hajj only on Ihraam and says: “To perform Hajj.” Then he goes to Makkah and performs the Tawaf of arrival, and remains forbidden until the time of Hajj, so he performs his rituals by standing in Arafah and staying overnight in Muzdalifah. The stoning of Jamrat al-Aqabah, and the rest of the rituals, even if he ends the rituals with the second exhumation, he leaves Makkah and enters ihram again with the intention of Umrah – if he wishes – and performs its rituals.
